Corrected times will be calculated for all racing craft by multiplying their finish time by the handicap factor for their class in the table. Handicap times are not calculated for those entered in the Dash, Dragonboat or Brooklyn or Bust classes.
Factors for Open classes were calculated such that a paddler finishing in the time indicated in column 2 would receive a corrected time equal to 10 hours. Handicap winners have typically finished with a handicap time around 8hr40min.

Sex and Age factors have been determined to adjust the open time to allow for relevant sex/age capabilities. Where veterans/juniors etc choose to enter a more open class, they will be assigned the handicap factor for the entered class.
Handicap times will be provided with the race results.
