Sponsorship and Donations

You can make a sponsorship or donation, big or small,  to a paddler or  the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic to help with our fundraising.

There are a few ways to sponsor or donate.  You can-

  • Sponsor yourself,

  • Invite others to sponsor you,

  • Sponsor a paddler, or

  • Make a donation to the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic Association.

Paddlers
Raising your minimum sponsorship of $200 ($100 for juniors)

The Preferred option is to use GiveNow

Please refer to the email sent to you by Webscorer moments after you completed your entry.  That email walks through how paddlers create their fundraising page on the GiveNow platform.  Once paddlers set up their fundraising page via that process, GiveNow will send an email with the link for paddlers to send to their colleagues, friends and family for sponsorship to be raised.  This is the Association’s preferred process to initiate sponsorship.

Sponsors – How to donate to a specific paddler

  • Contact the paddler you would like to donate to and have them advise you of their GiveNow fundraising link. Make a donation using that link.  You will receive an email receipt and the paddler you are donating to will be advised of your donation by email.

OR

  1. Select START GIVING

  2. Enter HAWKESBURY CANOE CLASSIC in the keyword search.

  3. Select GiveNow when the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic 2024 details are displayed.

  4. Search for the paddler under FUNDRAISE FOR THIS CAUSE and click on their link,

OR

  1. Go to the right side of the page,

  2. enter your donation amount

  3. select DONATE NOW

  4. When you reach the page below, please select “Would you like to leave a message for the organisation” and add the name of the paddler you are sponsoring in the box.

It is very important the paddler’s name is included in the online reference.

Email the Association to advise of the donation details and to request a tax deductible donation receipt (association@canoeclassic.asn.au).
